Sin rarely begins with a dramatic fall.
It begins with a small compromise.
A lingering thought.
A secret habit.
A temptation we convince ourselves we can control.
The danger is not only the sin itself—it is believing we can stand close to it without being affected by it.
Scripture teaches that temptation grows when it is entertained. Left unchecked, it produces actions. Those actions produce consequences.
God never calls us to see how close we can get to sin.
He calls us to flee from it.
The safest place is not near temptation.
It is near Christ.
