Mindset #4 — Your Obedience Creates Spiritual Covering. (Deuteronomy 28:1–2)

Obedience does not remove storms — it determines what covers you when they come.

Mindset #4 — Your Obedience Creates Spiritual Covering. (Deuteronomy 28:1–2) 1

And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the LORD thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth:

And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God.”*

— Deuteronomy 28:1–2 (KJV)

Obedience isn’t always easy.

Sometimes it requires patience when you want to act.
Silence when you want to speak.
Trust when you cannot see what God is doing.

Following Christ does not guarantee a life without hardship. Storms still come. Trials still arise.

But obedience places us beneath the covering of God’s wisdom, direction, and care.

Like an umbrella in heavy rain, it doesn’t stop the storm—it keeps you protected while you walk through it.

Every act of obedience is an act of trust.

The safest place to be is wherever God has called you to stand.

Obedience is never wasted. Even when you cannot see what God is protecting you from, He is faithfully covering those who walk in His ways.
