“How to Walk Like Jesus Walk Like Jesus: 24/7
“He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.”
-1 John 2:6 (KJV)
If we say that we belong to Jesus, then we should walk as Jesus walked. He isn’t just a part of our lives—He is the standard for how we live them. Every choice we make, every pursuit we follow, and every situation we encounter should be measured against Jesus’ life. If it doesn’t align with Him, we’re called to avoid it entirely. Pursuing Jesus isn’t a Sunday-only commitment; it’s a 24/7 lifestyle. Each day, our decisions must reflect His example, because He lived to show us the way. Our spiritual life depends on following Him as closely as we can, no matter the cost. It doesn’t matter who or what challenges this—if it isn’t about Jesus, rebuke it and turn back to Him.
Prayer:
• Have I made excuses for certain things in my life that I’m involved with that don’t line up with Christ?
• Are there habits or relationships I’ve justified that Jesus wouldn’t approve of?
• How can I better prioritize Jesus in my daily decisions, not just in my words but in my actions?
Prayer:
Dear Heavenly Father, I come before You in Jesus’ name and ask for forgiveness for the times I’ve allowed or done things that don’t align with Your Son. I pray that the Holy Spirit directs my steps to walk as Christ walked. I want my heart, soul, and mind to be fully aligned with Jesus 24/7. Strengthen me to let go of anything that pulls me away from Him, and guide me to live by His example. I ask this in Jesus’ name. Amen.
