The Power Unleashed in Jesus’ Name – Steps Toward Eternity Daily Devotional

Unlocking Supernatural Power Through Unity in Christ

“For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.”
— Matthew 18:20 (KJV)

There is power in the name of Jesus. It is the name that breaks chains, heals the sick, and silences the enemy. When believers come together in His name, they are not just gathering socially—they are unlocking supernatural power. Jesus Himself is present, moving, working, and releasing His authority into the situation.

The early church understood this. When Peter and John prayed for the lame man at the temple, they didn’t rely on human strength. They declared, “In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk” (Acts 3:6), and the power of God was released. In Acts 4:31, when the believers prayed together, the place was shaken, and they were filled with the Holy Ghost. Their unity in Christ’s name brought divine intervention.

When we gather in Jesus’ name—whether in prayer, worship, or fellowship—we create an atmosphere for the miraculous. Strongholds are broken. Heaven responds. Even two or three believers standing together in faith can shift circumstances and bring spiritual breakthrough.

Reflective Questions:

1.    How often do you intentionally gather with other believers in Jesus’ name?
2.   What steps can you take to prioritize Christian fellowship and corporate prayer in your life?
3.    How can you encourage others to come together in faith and unlock the power of Jesus’ name? 4. Are you tapping into the power of gathering in Jesus’ name? Make it a priority to join with other believers, whether in person or in spirit, knowing that His presence releases supernatural power.

Prayer:

Jesus, Your name is above all names, and in it, there is power, healing, and deliverance. Help me to come together with fellow believers in faith, knowing that when we gather in Your name, You are in our midst. Let Your power be revealed in our lives. Amen.
