Mindset #73 — Speak As Christ Would Speak. (Colossians 4:6)

The words we speak reveal the condition of the heart.

“Let your speech be alway with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man.”
— Colossians 4:6 (KJV)

Words have the power to build or destroy.

A Christ-centered life is not only reflected in actions—it is revealed through speech.

Before responding in anger,
before speaking out of frustration,
before allowing pride to take control,

pause and ask:

Would Christ speak this way?

Jesus spoke truth without cruelty.
Correction without hatred.
Authority without arrogance.
Love without compromise.

The goal is not simply to speak our minds.
The goal is to represent Christ.

Every conversation is an opportunity to reflect His character.

Before your next response, ask yourself:

Would these words sound at home in the mouth of Christ?

For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.
