Flawless

A Reflection on Grace and Transformation

I’m flawed far beyond my comprehension, and my condition will only worsen over time. Some of my flaws I knew quite well, but others I couldn’t even begin to recognize—and some I never saw as flaws at all.

Then one day, You knocked at my heart’s door, and I answered. You made Yourself at home and began a renovation I never believed possible. Your work is flawless—beyond words to describe.

My idea of love was far from reality. I learned that the day You knocked, and my life has never been the same since. All the things I once thought were important no longer even cross my mind. You took every flaw beyond measure, lifted them from me, and showed me a love I never knew existed.

You took my flaws one by one and never once complained. You showed me kindness and mercy beyond imagination. Everything that weighed me down, You lifted and gave me rest. The turmoil that crowded my mind was devoured by Your peace, and in my times of uncertainty, You crushed doubt with confidence. My ignorance was replaced by Your wisdom, giving me a new perspective on life and everything I do.

Although I speak of how great You are and spend time in Your presence day by day, I know I’ve barely scratched the surface of Your flawlessness.

From the very moment You knocked, I knew I never wanted to be anywhere else but with You. Just a fraction of time spent in Your presence changed who I thought I was—who I thought I was supposed to be—and You did it all in the blink of an eye.

You are flawless in every way. To think that someone so perfect made time for someone like me—so broken and without hope—is beyond understanding.

Just one touch from You, and You took it all away as if it never existed.

You’ve taught me things I never knew about myself and shown me what I’m capable of through You. You healed all my brokenness and gave me strength, peace, comfort, and never-ending joy. I will never have enough words of gratitude. You are my Lord, and I can never thank You enough.

JESUS.

This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.
