God Heals the Brokenhearted – Steps Towards Eternity Daily Devotional

Finding Healing and Hope in God’s Unfailing Love

The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite (crushed) spirit.

– Psalms 34:18 – KJV

He is faithful even when we are not. No matter the circumstances—whether we are struggling with relationships, battling inner turmoil, or facing hardships—God remains near. Like a loving Father, He desires to nourish and restore His children. He mends the brokenhearted, and no matter how crushed our spirits may be, He is the Great Physician who can heal all wounds.

There is nothing in your life that He doesn’t care about. God desires to be the center of your life—not just when you’re in need, but every single day. Too often, we only turn to Him in our struggles and forget Him in our peace. Yet, He remains faithful. His greatest desire is to have a daily relationship with you, to be your first love, not just a last resort.

God is the very definition of love, and His love has the power to heal and restore. There is no wound too deep, no pain too great for Him to mend. You may feel like you’ve reached the end of your rope, that no one cares, or that life isn’t worth living. But God sees you. He understands when no one else can. He is with you when no one else is.

No matter what has caused your pain, no matter how impossible healing may seem, God can and will take it away if you allow Him to. Seek Him daily. Even when you think you’ve failed beyond redemption, He is still there—ready and willing to restore you. Call upon Him in Jesus’ name, and He will answer. He is forever faithful. Everything you have been through and everything you will face—God made a way. He gave His only Son for these very moments so you would never have to walk through them alone.

Reflective Questions:

1.    What areas of your life feel broken right now? Have you given them to God?
    2.    How can you prioritize seeking God daily, not just in times of need?
    3.    What does it mean to you that God is near to the brokenhearted?
    4.    How have you experienced God’s healing in the past? How can that encourage you today?
    5.    What steps can you take to trust God’s faithfulness even when you don’t feel His presence?

Prayer for Healing and Restoration

Dear Heavenly Father,

I come before You in the name of Jesus. You know everything I’m struggling with. You see the pain in my heart, soul, and mind, and I believe You can heal it. I bring my burdens before You, Lord, and I ask You to correct everything that is wrong within me.

In Jesus’ name, I surrender it all—every worry, every wound, every fear. I trust in Your power to restore me and set me on the right path. When I feel like I can’t carry it anymore, help me to remember that I don’t have to. You are my refuge, my healer, and my strength.

Thank You for Your endless love and faithfulness. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Thank you for reading. God bless you!

God is near. He is waiting to bring healing to your heart—will you let Him?
